Whether it’s entering the sector through degree apprenticeships, pursuing university pathways with access to internships, or exploring entrepreneurship within healthcare and science, Health & Sci Town exists to bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity. Our mission is to empower young people with the knowledge, support, and community they need to succeed.
The healthcare and science industry is often perceived as one of the least supportive sectors for young people. There is a lack of visible community and limited awareness of the diverse career pathways available beyond the traditional roles of doctors and dentists. As a result, many young people believe that careers in healthcare and science lead only to low-paid or limited opportunities.
This perception does not reflect the true breadth, impact, and potential of the healthcare and science sector.
STEM and healthcare are among the fastest-growing industries in the world. With the rise of AI and emerging technologies across science and healthcare, new roles and opportunities are being created beyond the traditional career pathways.
